Routine reminder that there is NOT a war on men or a war on Christianity. This is just a normal unfolding of ideas and beliefs as a system grows. There is however a war on progressive ideas, marginalized folks, empathy, accountability, and women, especially those who do not aid and abet these perverts.
What men and some far-right wing Christians are experiencing is called accountability. And when you are held accountable for your actions it can feel like an attack, especially when you’re not used to being held accountable for your actions.
It’ll get easier with time, babes.
Or it won’t and you’ll end up left behind by a society that is changing rapidly. It might not feel like we are heading into a new, progressive era just yet, but I assure you we are and many already know this. That’s why we are seeing them behave the way they are.
This is the anger-fueled last stand of the white, right-wing Christian patriarchy. This violence and disregard for human life is a common reaction to the loss of control and the ending of a way of life they have always known.
The woman riding shotgun are literally just pawns in their game who do not know any better and get a sick ego boost by being held a smidge higher than all other women. These women have a boot on our necks just like the men, but they also have a dog collar around theirs.
The good news: all this nonsense dies with them.
Let us pray it’s sooner rather than later.
